organizations. India Government Mint, Mumbai has been releasing commemorative coins since
1964. The commemorative coins issued by the Mint are of very high quality and have a great
demand among coin collectors and numismatists.

Proof Coins:
Proof coins are the high quality commemorative coins which have a frozen effect on the surface
design of the coin with a mirror finish. These coins are marked with the symbol 'M' to indicate
that they are manufactured at Mumbai Mint. These coins are sold at a premium price as they
are manufactured with high quality standards and have high numismatic value.
Uncirculated Coins:
Uncirculated coins are the high quality commemorative coins which have mirror finish on the
surface but without any frozen effect on the design. These coins are marked with a diamond
symbol to indicate they are stamped at Mumbai Mint. The uncirculated coins are also sold at
premium but they are priced a little lower than the proof coins.
History
In 1964 production of commemorative coins was started. The first commemorative coin was in the memory of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

What are the Features of New Rs.75 Parliament Complex Commemorative Coin ?
As per the Ministry of Finance notification, the latest Rs 75 coin is circular in shape with a diameter of 44mm. The composition of the coin is of a quaternary alloy — 50 per cent silver, 40 per cent copper, 5 per cent nickel and 5 per cent zinc.
“The face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre, with the legend “सत्यमेि जयते” (Satyameva Jayate) inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word “भारत” (Bharat) in Devnagri script and on the right periphery the word “INDIA” in English,” the notification said.
It added that the other side of the coin displays an image of the new parliament building. The inscription “Sansad Sankul” is written in Devanagari script on the upper periphery while the words “Parliament Complex” in English on the lower periphery of the coin.

The Rs 75 coin coin will bear the inscription Parliament Complex and the image of the new Parliament building. The coin will be circular in shape with a diameter of 44 millimeters, according to a statement. It will have 200 serrations along the edges. 75 रुपये के सिक्के की खासियत
यह सिक्का 44 मिमी व्यास के साथ गोलाकार है. इसका वजन 35 ग्राम है, जिसमें 50 फीसदी चांदी, 40 फीसदी तांबा, 5 फीसदी निकल और 5 फीसदी जस्ता से बनता है. सिक्के के पहले भाग में अशोक स्तंभ है और इसके नीचे सत्यमेव जयते लिखा है. अशोक स्तंभ के बाईं ओर देवनागरी लिपि में भारत शब्द और दांई ओर अंग्रेजी में इंडिया लिखा है.
75 रुपये के सिक्के के दूसरी भाग में नए सांसद की तस्वीर है, जिसमें ऊपरी परिधि शिलालेख पर 'संसी संकुल' देवनागरीलिपि में और नीचले परिधि शिलालेख पर 'पॉर्लियामेंट कॉम्प्लेक्स' अंग्रेजी में लिखा है. वहीं सांसद के नीच अंतरराष्ट्रीय अंक में 2023 लिखा है. गौरतलब है कि कॉइनेज एक्ट 2011 के तहत केंद्र सरकार को अलग-अलग मूल्यवर्ग के सिक्कों को ढालने और लॉन्च करने का अधिकार है.
